Meet the Team
Matthew Parsons - MIRP CertRP - Managing Director
Matt joined FPS Group in 2009, following a distinguished sales career within banking, life assurance and the recruitment industry. He initially held the position of Sales Manager before being promoted to Associate Sales Director in 2013 and then Sales Director in 2015. Successfully sitting on the board for two years, Matt was then promoted to the position of managing director in 2017 with responsibility for overall performance and strategy.
Known for out of tune singing and being irritatingly positive and happy, he has made an enormous personal contribution to the substantial success that FPS has enjoyed in recent years. His boundless enthusiasm and analytical approach to sales has delivered consistent business growth.
He is married with two young sons, so his own hobbies and interests have taken a back seat for the time being. Instead, he focuses his attention on becoming a Duplo master, reading books by Julia Donaldson and marching to The Grand Old Duke of York.
Leon Henery - Bcom. (Hons) - Head Information Technology
Leon joined FPS Group in 2014 after a successful ICT career of more than 20 years where he held several positions including programmer, senior software developer, systems and business analyst and IT Manager. He initially held the position of Developer at FPS before being promoted to Head of Analysis in 2015 and then Head of IT in Sep 2017.
With a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree in Business Management and Information Systems and exceptional problem solving, leadership and technical expertise, Leon has a well-respected reputation with his team and the rest of the business. In only 3 years, he has made an enormous personal contribution to the continual improvement of our in-house ERP and web systems and introduced several new initiatives to streamline IT processes and procedures.
He is happily married with 3 kids and if he is not coding or learning new programming languages, he loves spending time with his family. He is an avid tennis player but had to face reality about his Wimbledon dreams when his 10 year old daughter started outplaying him.
Lynne Wall - Assoc CIPD - HR Manager
Lynne joined FPS in 2002 as a Team Leader in the Customer Services department. She joined the HR department in 2007 and the company supported her studies for her CIPD qualification and she was promoted to HR Manager in 2009. She is responsible for providing expertise in all HR related issues.
Lynne enjoys spending time with her family and baking cakes for the charity bake sales organised by FPS staff, however, the downside of this is she also likes to eat them so to compensate she keeps herself fit by doing morning bootcamp sessions.
Barry Mellor BSc.(Hons), ATT, MICA, Int. Dip.(Comp.), Cert.(AMLA) – Compliance Officer
Barry joined FPS Group in 2002 and is responsible for risk management. Barry has experienced work in many departments within FPS Group, gaining knowledge of the systems and processes, which in conjunction with his tax and compliance qualifications, are used to ensure FPS Group complies with all necessary rules and regulations.
When Barry is not digesting the latest legislation his time is consumed running around after his 2 daughters and playing hockey.
