UK recruitment agency owners, directors
and consultant can learn how to make AWR less stressful and enter to win VIP
tickets to the England V India cricket match taking place at the Kia Oval
next month, thanks to a new competition announced by the FPS umbrella
company.
FPS has published a free white paper which
explains new UK employment law, the Agency Workers Regulations (AWR), being
introduced later this year. Recruitment professionals can download the white
paper here
to be entered into a draw for VIP tickets to the cricket match taking place
in August.
“AWR legislation will change the way
agency workers are recruited and employed in the UK, and at FPS we want to
help people to choose the right direction for them,” says Simon
Last-Sutton, managing director, FPS Group. “This white paper lays out the
changes and the options for agency workers, recruiters and employers to
remain compliant.”
On 1 October, AWR comes into
force. It will directly impact all agencies and umbrella companies. The new
legislation will entitle agency workers to the same basic employment and
working conditions in relation to pay, working time and annual leave as if
they were recruited directly by the hiring company once they have completed a
qualifying period of 12 weeks in the same job.
The FPS umbrella company’s free whitepaper
covers:
* What is AWR?
*
The impact of AWR on agencies and hirers
* Options and solutions
for agency workers
The draw will take place
on 1st August 2011 and will be announced on the
FPS Group website. There will be the opportunity to win a different
VIP experience every month to the end of September ranging from dinner for
two at the Ritz followed by tickets to see the “Wizard of Oz” and VIP
tickets to see Rihanna at the O2 in London.
