Tier 1 visa extensions

If you are currently in the UK on an HSMP or Tier 1 visa which is due to expire and wish to extend your stay you could apply for a Tier 1 general visa extension.  The application for the visa extension is points based and very similar to the initial application process. In order to qualify for an extension individuals are required to have a minimum of 75 points and in addition to this are required to score a bonus 10 points for maintenance.

Those that qualify for an extension will receive either a 2 or 3 year extension which will be dependent on their initial visa grant.  Consideration will be given to an applicants age, education, past earnings and UK experience along with their available maintenance.  Individuals do not need to satisfy any English language requirements for the Tier 1 extension application process.
